An added wall retains the grade to create a front lawn. To mitigate the high wall along the sidewalk a planted tier was introduced to the deign. The terraced planted area greatly softens the scale and provides opportunity to added more texture and color to the front of the house.
Drainage is achieved by backfilling the wall with aggregates. Weep holes line each wall at 4'-0" O.C. spacing. This system allows through drainage to prevent a saturated lawn.
